Spanish Student Q&A

.

As students look to study abroad once more in 2021 we decided to do a Q&A with one of our 2020 students who studied Spanish with us in Valencia. Learn more about the Euroace experience through our student’s eyes and also what it’s like completing international education during a pandemic.

.

1. Why did you choose to study Spanish in Valencia?

I chose to study Spanish in Valencia because I came here to study for my Masters degree. My studies are in English language and I want to live and work here for that, so it is necessary to know and speak fluently in Spanish.

.

2. How long is your Spanish course and have you enjoyed it so far?

I started learning Spanish with Euroace in July 2020 and I will be here for 5 months. I enjoy the classes and the learning environment, everyone is very friendly.

.

3. Do you feel as though your Spanish abilities are improving? If so, what particular changes or improvements have you noticed?

Yes, I am feeling it 100%. Before coming to Euroace I was understanding Spanish grammar but really I didn’t understand how to speak normally and I was thinking that all Spanish people are angry with me me when I am trying to pronounce something in my weird kind of Spanish language.

Now I can speak everywhere, not only in cafes if I need to ask for cafe con leche y la cuenta, por favor. I became more fluent in Spanish because all the professors at Euroace are speaking with students only in Spanish and also because of the group work during classes.

.

4. What’s it like learning Spanish right now during a pandemic?

I really don’t feel the difference in learning Spanish. The process of learning is the same. The difference for me is in the feelings of participation. We were in lockdown for 2 months without normal communication and now I am coming to Euroace not only to study Spanish, but also for communication as all professors are very nice and open for communication. It is like my Spanish class and also where I can socialize and feel normal each day too.

.

5. What is EUROACE doing in terms of health and safety to keep students safe?

Euroace is doing everything they can to prevent Covid and for the enjoyment of the students. They always check our temperature, clean classes after every lesson, open windows for having fresh air in the classes and tell us to wear masks. They have sanitizers in all classes so we can clean our hands whenever we want. It feels very clean and safe here.

.

6. Is the Spanish course what you expected? Have you been surprised by anything?

Before starting to study at Euroace I checked reviews of people about the school and understood that it is really great, but really I haven’t expected something special after Covid quarantine. So from the very beginning I started to feel that I made the right choice. I felt very happy and really surprised about the level of teaching and about all the professors because professors were making every class very interesting even if it was a lesson of very boring grammatical rules.

.

7. Would you recommend EUROACE Spanish school to your friends and to other future students?

Yes, I would do it. I think it is a great choice if you want to understand the Spanish language and start to speak fluently.

.

8. What advice would you give to any future student who wants to take a Spanish course like you?

Be brave to speak in Spanish everywhere and with everyone. Start to speak in school and then go to speak with neighbors. Try to think in Spanish and it is very funny, but, try to speak even with yourself in Spanish and you will see that it really helps. Try to fully integrate in the Spanish language and the Spanish culture.

.
